A luxury shopping mall in Beijing, Parkview Green, has the habit of exhibiting and selling art in its premises.
Last Sunday, I stumbled upon this eyecatcher. Fear not bug-loving Jalops, most of this 6ft sphere is made of polyester but it does include parts from real 1953 and 2003 Beetles.
I'm not enough of a specialist to know what is original and what was added but i'm sure some of you could do it.
I wouldn't like this if the parts had come from a rare vehicle, and I'm sure I wouldn't want it in my home, but it is very cool.

For some reason, I'd been thinking the Outspan was Beetle-based, but no - it's a Mini.
Here's something goofy and Beetle-based, though:

Another guy did something similar with a Wagoneer, but it's made almost entirely out of the car.
